For Christians the process of growth through crisis is predicted by Jesus’ promise in John 16:33. “In the world you will have hardship, but be courageous: I have conquered the world.” St Paul expresses the same idea in Romans 8:22. “The whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.“
