Another name for Satan, ‘the accuser’ – the spirit or force of opposition to the reign of love, peace and goodness – the Kingdom of God. Hope tells us that, broken by Jesus revelation on Calvary of how Satan misleads us, the power of evil cannot prevail – but in the meantime we are at war with this Adversary.
